Hi, Mama. It’s amazing time, isn’t it? There is a baby growing inside of you! A brand new human being! I remember that overwhelming feeling of awe. Watching your belly swell as the months go by with growing anticipation of meeting your very own new baby! I was sick most of the time- often in survival mode. And adding another child to the family was sometimes downright scary. But, still, a brand new baby person! That I’m growing! Just, wow.
I love babies. And I love supporting new mamas. We often forget the little details of this amazing experience. (They say we forget the pain. But, is that really true? hmmm…) Sometimes the realities of life get in the way of us truly seeing how amazing we are. And how amazing life is going to be with this new person in it. ‘Cause it’s also really scary! My hope and prayer is that my mommas see their pictures and remember. How strong they are. How loved they are. How truly and completely beautiful they are. ‘Cause life is sometimes rough and difficult. But, oh how these moments show us how completely beautiful it can be.
Let’s freeze time for just a moment and forever remember the amazing day when you birthed your most valuable treasure: your baby.
