The end of May. We'd been shut down for 2 months with no end in sight. The world was/is in turmoil and isolated. Michop called for a prayer rally and I had to go. I needed to be with God's people to pray. At one point pastors were invited to the open mic to speak or pray. This man kneeled on these steps the entire time, praying. How fitting that his shirt is also praying hands. This world is tumultuous. The things we hold dear are being ripped away and there is much reason to fear. But, God. This world is not our home and our hope is not in it's systems, political, medical or whatever. May we hold tight to God through whatever 2021 brings and remember to pray.
